Bay Filings A new focus on Filey!... Flying at Filey, 2010 marks the 100th anniversary of the days when Filey Beach was used in the important testing and development of early flying machines. As a part of this occasion, the Filey Bay Initiative held Centenary celebrations on 25th July. Some information is on this link and a report on the day will follow shortly. The Town is getting geared up for Filey in Bloom 2010 A new service which is being offered by Age Concern to provide help and advice for the Over 50’s Filey's Heritage Coast The Filey Bay Initiative and this website have proposed a Heritage Coast for the Filey Area, reflecting the Town's rich and diverse Cultural and Historical Terrestrial and Maritime Heritage. An extension of the existing Heritage Coast is now under consideration and this is supported by Filey's Town Council. Further information can be seen on this link.
