(Heritage Protection for the 21st Century, a document presented to Parliament by the Secretary for Culture, Media and Sport  in March 2007.)

Filey - Discovering our History and Heritage!

Filey's Flying Focus...  Flying at Filey,  2010 marked the 100th anniversary of the days when Filey Beach was used in the important testing and development of early flying machines. As a part of this occasion, the Filey Bay Initiative held Centenary celebrations on .

                                                                            Filey's Heritage Coast

The Filey Bay Initiative and this website have proposed a Heritage Coast for the Filey Area, reflecting the Town's rich and diverse Cultural and Historical Terrestrial and Maritime Heritage.   An extension of the existing Heritage Coast is still under consideration and this is supported by Filey's Town Council.  Further information can be seen on this link.
